ABOUT
Ashprington is a charming and pretty village set above the Dart Estuary where Bow Creek joins the river. It is located just three miles from Totnes and around a half an hour drive from Dartmouth. With a quintessential English village feel, gorgeous cottages and welcoming community, it’s the perfect place to explore for a day trip or longer.
Ashprington is mentioned in the 1086 Domesday Book and is home to a Grade I listed church. The Church of St David has a red sandstone Norman font and beautiful woodwork. In the centre of the village there is also a pub which dates back to the 1725.
Nearby the heart of Ashprington you’ll find Sharpham House, a Georgian mansion and estate which offers different events throughout the year. There is also a successful vineyard and creamery. As mentioned above, a characterful pub is on offer which also has accommodation. There is also another traditional 17th century pub which overlooks the river at Bow Bridge.
