Situated between the town and Dartmouth Castle, Warfleet is a small creek off the Dart which almost feels like it’s own secluded settlement. With gorgeous views and a sheltered inlet, you’re guaranteed an insta-worthy shot.

Stretching along the riverside, the embankment is the ideal spot for a photograph, either looking at the beautiful buildings or across the waters to Kingswear.

Boat Float

Right in the heart of Dartmouth, the Boat Float or inner harbour makes for a stunning photo opportunity with its quaint vessels and surrounding historic buildings.

Situated in the centre of town, Royal Avenue Gardens is a place of relaxation, popular among locals and tourists the gardens provide a perfect backdrop for a picnic and the fountain and bandstand snap a pretty picture for your social media.

On the opposite side of the River Dart on the headland above Kingswear is The Daymark. Standing proudly overlooking the entrance to the Dart, this historical landmark truly is a show stopper.

Head out of Dartmouth town centre and up to Jawbone Hill and you will be greeted with one of the best views overlooking this harbourside resort and the river. The interestingly shaped trees also add a little something extra to those holiday snaps.

On the water’s edge you’ll find the 16th century Bayards Cove Fort. The windows of the fort make natural frames for views of the river – an Instagram favourite with those who visit! The fort itself is currently undergoing important restoration work so be sure to visit again once it’s finished!
