This August Bank Holiday, a brand-new magical festival is coming to Dartington Hall, inviting families to step into a world of fantasy, adventure and imagination.
The Fantastical Magic Festival, created by Miss Ivy Events, takes place from 28–31 August 2026, bringing four days of immersive storytelling, magical encounters, live entertainment and creative activities to the stunning Dartington Hall estate.
Explore Five Enchanted Realms
At the heart of the festival are five enchanting realms, each filled with characters, adventures and hidden surprises to discover.
Families can become part of the story as they explore the different worlds, encounter magical characters and take part in interactive experiences. Young visitors can also complete the Spell Card Quest, learning spells and completing challenges as they make their way around the festival.
There will be live performances, music and plenty of magical moments along the way, with the experience designed to encourage families to play, explore and use their imaginations together.
Get Creative
The magic continues with a programme of optional creative workshops, giving visitors the chance to make their own magical keepsakes. Workshops must be booked in advance and include activities such as creating woodland crowns, treasure chests, unicorn dreamcatchers and magical jewellery, as well as spell-casting sessions.
There will also be an Enchanted Makers Market, where you can browse a selection of magical and creative creations, alongside food and drink to enjoy throughout the day.

Set within the beautiful surroundings of Dartington Hall, the festival combines outdoor adventure with immersive experiences and creative activities, making the most of its unique setting.
Whether you’re searching for fairies, discovering wizarding skills, meeting magical characters or simply enjoying the atmosphere, there will be plenty to discover throughout the day.
With something to appeal to different ages and interests, the Fantastical Magic Festival offers a fun way to make the most of the final Bank Holiday weekend of the summer holidays.
