There are lots of great, unique cafes and coffee shops in Dartmouth to suit every taste. We have chic, modern independents as well as traditional English tearooms. Read on to find out our top places to grab a cup of coffee in Dartmouth. 

 

Café Alf Resco 

With an emphasis on providing a relaxed environment and serving up local and freshly prepared food and drink, Café Alf Fresco is a great place to stop and grab a bite to eat. They can offer a generous full English breakfast with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice to wash it down. If you fancy something sweeter, why not try their cinnamon toast, or choose from their selection of locally-made cakes and pastries. The exterior of the building is representative of a cute European café and inside oozes with atmosphere. It’s an absolute unique gem in our lovely town.  

 

Bespoke 

In the centre of Dartmouth is Bespoke, an artisan coffee shop offering selection of organic teas, luxury hot chocolate and seasonal speciality drinks. The coffee they serve is locally produced Voyager Coffee, located on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Alongside their drinks menu, they also sell a range of locally-sourced cakes and pastries, including vegan and gluten-free options. Bespoke also have a breakfast menu and a light lunch menu of sourdough toasted sandwiches. 

 

Dartmouth Castle Tea Rooms 

Situated next to Dartmouth Castle, the Dartmouth Castle Tea Rooms serves breakfast from 9am, plus a range of tasty sandwiches, cakes and of course, coffee! The view of the castle and estuary is absolutely breathtaking and without a doubt the best place in town to watch the world go by with a lovely hot drink. The cosy atmosphere inside the tearoom makes it perfect for rainy or cold days and the outdoor seating area is great for soaking up the sunshine. 

 

The Singing Kettle 

The Singing Kettle is a lovely, Grade II listed, old English tearoom in the heart of Dartmouth. The tearoom is full of charm and character and the food and drink on offer here is great. They serve excellent barista-style coffee as well as loose leaf teas and are renowned for their delightful cream teas. If you’re looking for a bite to eat, they serve plenty of tasty treats, sandwiches and even breakfast. 

 

Woodroast Coffee 

Located just off the Embankment is Woodroast Coffee. It’s a modern coffee shop serving locally produced coffee and hand-crafted cakes. They also have a great range of gluten free and vegan cakes to suit any dietary requirements.  

 

Bula 

If you’re in the town centre and are looking for some delicious and nutritious food, pop into Bula. They serve quick and healthy food to eat in or takeaway with barista quality coffee or freshly squeezed juice.  

 

The Deli at Dartmouth 

The Deli at Dartmouth is a small independent deli serving great local produce. from award winning cheeses to freshly baked pasties and local charcuterie. They also offer local tea and coffee as well as cake made on the premises. 

 

Dart Café 

Serving simple, freshly made great coffee in the heart of Dartmouth town centre is Dart Café. They cater to those looking for breakfast, lunch or a mid-morning coffee and cake in a relaxing atmosphere.
