Taking place on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th of November, this is the perfect event to get you excited for the upcoming Christmas period.

The two day event kicks off at 4pm on Friday 24th with a bustling Christmas market occupying Royal Avenue Gardens and the Quay, offering you the perfect opportunity to get some unique and charming presents for all those on your list – or to treat yourself! In addition to an array of marvellous stalls, there will be plenty of live music and entertainment, as well as carol singing with the BRNC Volunteer Band and the Britannia Choral Society. Friday is also the day of the official switch on of Dartmouth’s Christmas lights as well as Santa’s magical arrival by boat, making the whole event extra special for children and families.

Saturday 25th sees the festivities begin again from 10am with markets to be explored and lots of Christmas shopping to be done. Once more the town will be buzzing with lots of lively activities for the day, including Santa’s grotto, seasonal craft workshops and plenty more for little ones and adults to enjoy in the Flavel. The Old Market and Market Square will come alive with a Handicraft Market from 10am until 4pm selling unique handcrafted items of every kind.  Later that evening, you will be able to enjoy the dazzling and highly anticipated lantern procession; beginning from the Old Market through to Royal Avenue Gardens.
