Enjoy 2023 in Dartmouth!

After a crazy couple of years, it’s safe to say that we’re excited to welcome 2023 and can’t wait to see what the year has to offer. The past few years have allowed us to really value the beauty of our town and we can’t wait to show you too. Now it’s the perfect time to start planning your Dartmouth getaway for this year. Check out our reasons why you should visit Dartmouth in 2023 below!

Dartmouth is home to a large selection of wonderful shops, lots of which are independents sprinkled with high street names too. Whether you’re in the market for a unique piece of art from one of the galleries or showrooms, a new item of clothing to spice up your wardrobe or some charming souvenirs to remember your trip, there’ll be a perfect shop for you. Discover the range of shops in Dartmouth here and check out our shop local blog post here.

Eating & Drinking

We’re lucky to have a fabulous range of cafés, eateries and restaurants in Dartmouth just waiting to welcome you in for a drink or bite to eat. The food in the region is just fantastic and you’ll be able to enjoy locally produced food and drink in lots of the venues. Dartmouth is an absolute foodie heaven, we’re known for our excellent seafood with many restaurants serving fresh fish caught in Dartmouth, Brixham and the surrounding area. The hospitality industry has really had a tough time over the last few years due to the pandemic and the cost of living crisis so popping in for a visit is a wonderful way to give them a boost during these challenging times. Some of us are still anxious around large groups, or small indoor spaces which is completely normal, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy what Dartmouth has to offer. One of the town’s main attractions is its brilliant walking routes. You can head outside of the town and look forward to dramatic coastal walks with spectacular views, or explore the town using the Dartmouth Mayflower Heritage Trail or Dartmouth Town Trail. Throughout the year Dartmouth hosts plenty of awesome events and this year we’ll see the return of the Dartmouth Royal Regatta, Dart Music Festival and Dartmouth Food Festival, just to name a few! As well as these big festivities, there will also be lots of smaller events taking place in and around the town so explore events coming up in Dartmouth on our What’s On page here.
