Lights, Lanterns and ‘Luminations,  Brixham

24th – 25th November

Brixham is gearing up for their annual Christmas Lights Switch-On event with ‘Lanterns, Lights, and ‘Luminations’ this November. The festivities kick off with a Christmas market along The Square, The Strand and Middle Street as well as The Quay and The Old Fish Market.  

Featuring a number of fantastic local traders and even Santa’s Grotto, there will also be a whole host of entertainment to keep you merry and bright! 

 

The Sail Loft Christmas Market, The Sail Loft, Dartmouth

27th November

 The Sail Loft’s annual Christmas Market returns this year! From 5pm – 9pm on Monday 27th November head down to peruse gifts and crafts by local artisans, and have a munch on some festive mince pies.

 

The Great Hall Winter Craft Fair at Dartington Hall Dartington

1st – 3rd December

Over the first weekend of December, Dartington Hall will host its cherished Christmas craft fair. Showcasing a wide range of contemporary makers and designers, it’s the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping.  

 Enjoy live music, craft workshops, and delectable food options throughout the weekend. 

 

Kingsbridge Celebrates Christmas, Kingsbridge

2nd December

Kingsbridge Celebrates Christmas is back this year, promising an unmissable event. Enjoy live entertainment and explore unique gifts from small, independent businesses. 

For the little ones, there’s a free ice rink and a festive ride along the estuary on Kingsbridge’s charming little train. Santa will also make an appearance!

CHSW Christmas Fair, Old Market Square, Dartmouth

3rd December

Kickstart your Christmas shopping at Dartmouth’s iconic Old Market Square, all in support of Children’s Hospice South West. Discover a wide variety of stalls offering gifts, cards, jewellery, crafts, cakes, and more.  

Not only will you be able to find the perfect gift for your loved ones, you’ll also be supporting a great cause! 

 

Totnes Christmas Market, Totnes

5th, 12th & 19th December

Experience the wholesome and festive atmosphere of Totnes at their Christmas market on Tuesday evenings throughout December from 3pm.  

Bring your family and friends to explore independent businesses and stalls, enjoy live street entertainment, and savour a warm cup of mulled cider.  

Don’t miss their festive lantern procession through the town at 4pm on the 19th December too! 

 

A Very Flavel Christmas Fair, The Flavel Arts Centre , Dartmouth

16th December

Visit The Flavel Arts Centre on December 16th for a festive gathering that promises to be a true delight. In their auditorium, you’ll discover a wealth of charming stalls, featuring crafters and artisans hailing from all corners of the South Hams. It’s the perfect opportunity to find those special Christmas gifts you’ve been seeking. 

Venture up to the studio on the top floor, where a world of crafting activities awaits from 11 am to 4 pm. They’re offering drop-in wreath-making sessions for adults (with a suggested donation), as well as engaging children’s crafting activities. Plus throughout the day, enjoy live musical performances, the enchanting melodies of a Christmas choir, and their renowned tombola.

Dartmouth Good Food and Artisan Market 

Held on the second Saturday of each month, Dartmouth’s Good Food and Artisan Markets is the now combined Dartmouth Farmers Market and Dartmouth Artisan Market.  

It’s a popular event in the calendar among both locals and visitors, offering a wide range of excellent produce and handmade gifts.  

During the Christmas period, the market will feature festive goods, artisan bakes, savoury treats, and home-grown plants, as well as items like jewellery, soaps, and scarves. In December, the market will be held on the 9th from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
