‘Dart the Dart’ is a half-marathon with a difference! A physical but fun-filled foodie event that will see up to 400 runners eat their way along the River Dart, from Totnes to Dartmouth.
The multi-terrain culinary adventure will take place on 25th September and will feature stops where runners will be able to sample tasters of the best local food and drink available whilst taking in spectacular scenery.
The event will raise vital funds for the Dartmouth Food Festival 2021, a not-for-profit organisation, described as “One of the Top Ten food festivals in the UK” and a landmark event on the culinary calendar.
Runners, who are also invited to wear fancy dress with a ‘foodie theme’, will begin at the Riverside Cafe in Totnes before arriving in Dartmouth.
From the nutritional to the nautical but nice, runners will indulge in mouth-watering tasters along the way such as locally brewed beers, paella on the beach, Salcombe Gin, Hunt Cider, Squealer Pie from Chunk of Devon, and a selection of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options too.
All finishers will receive a goody bag.
For more information and to book one of the few places available, runners are asked to visit https://www.dartmouthfoodfestival.com/event/dart-the-dart and for further details, take a look at the Event on Facebook here.
