LOCAL ARTISTS PUT DARTMOUTH ON THE SOUTH HAMS ARTS TRAIL MAP
Serial, creative entrepreneur, Julia Gash has collaborated with local artist Tal Polak in a joint exhibition at The Flavel Arts Centre in Dartmouth as part of the South Hams Arts Trail 2026. Putting the town on the South Hams Arts Trail Map for the first time, they are joined by fellow Dartmouth Creatives member, Anjeli Marsh, whose stunning stained glass works and mosaics are being showcased at her home-based studio.
Julia has created a unique and everlasting archive of map-like illustrations, which incorporate iconic landmarks and local cultural highlights and are printed onto sustainable souvenirs and giclee art prints. Drawn in a naïve and spirited style, her playful and honest vision celebrates the imperfect world around us and brings a place that is close to someone’s heart, into their home. Julia is showcasing a small selection of framed giclee prints of Dartmouth, Devon and beyond at the Flavel Art Centre
Tal Pollak has carved a niche in creating stunning, sculptural mandalas from gathered woodland materials. What began as a personal reflective practice outdoors, has evolved into a refined body of work defined by patience and attention. His approach is grounded and intentional, resulting in pieces that are both intimate and architectural, fragile in material, yet enduring in presence.
Shaped by interior design and rich Indian patterns, the work of Anjeli Marsh has evolved into vibrant, flowing stained glass panels, available to purchase at her studio in Dartmouth or to commission for a private space. The local landscape of the South Hams is reflected in her aqua marine, azure blue and moss green stained glass work, suggesting rolling hills and ocean waves.
The South Hams Arts Trail showcases the work of over 50 artists exhibiting at galleries halls and studios across the region throughout the second half of October. To view the work of Julia, Tal and Anjeli visit the South Hams Arts Trail between 10-25 October 2026, located at The Flavel Arts Centre and Anjeli Marsh Studio in Dartmouth.
