Rebeca Ortega – Flamenco Dance from Spain: SILENCES

From the tradition and avant-garde of flamenco culture, this dance performance is theatrically woven together, accompanied by traditional flamenco musicians, and expressed through the depth of the seguiriya, the femininity of the guajira, the intensity of the farruca, and the rhythms of the jaleos and bulerías.

In a world filled with internal dialogues and an excess of noise and information, are we truly in control of our decisions? Often, we are overwhelmed by anxiety, hindering our mental calm. As a result, there arises a need to reflect on the value of silence in our society, in a flamenco piece full of passion, strength, and elegance.
