The Snark is a Thames barge based on the beautiful River Dart where you can immerse yourself in the world of yoga and meditation or sailing and seamanship. Individuals and groups of all levels of experience are welcome.
On board there are two accommodation types.
The Main Hold
The main hold on SNARK is a spacious open plan shared space with sailor’s hammocks, a kitchen and a library. It provides sleeping accommodations at night, and a dinning room in the day, as well as being a yoga studio when required.
Within The Main Hold there are 4 single hammocks complete with comfortable bedding, 2 on each side, behind curtains to provide privacy. Showers, and conventional toilet, dinning room table, kitchen, aft cabin and desk are available to guest during their stay.
Complimentary home cooked breakfast and refreshments are served in the main hold. Crew members are on board throughout your stay.
The Aft Cabin is a sailing cabin with 4 single bunk beds complete with comfortable bedding, including 2 extra long upper bunks. All the beds are wider than the average yacht bunks.
With cosy timber lined interior the aft cabin is a restful place for the sailors or visiting guests. It is bright and airy during the day and at night the deck hatch over the beds allows for effortless star gazing.
The head, or wet room shower, conventional toilet, the main hold and the deck are available to guest during their stay. Complimentary home cooked breakfast and refreshments are served in the main hold. Crew members are on board throughout your stay. Other guests can also use the cabin during the day, so it is not completely private.
